Just one goal and one assist since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over is hardly appealing. Add to this tough fixtures with Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City on the way and its a no for us for now.

In: Joao Moutinho (Wolves) – 5.3m

Its taken him some time but the Portuguese has now started notching the amount of assists we thought he would when he originally signed for the club. Hes got five in his last three games and now has a kind run of fixture with Newcastle, Bournemouth, Huddersfield and Cardiff City up next.

Out: Antonio Rudiger (Chelsea) – 6m

Absent against Huddersfield following a 4-0 defeat to Bournemouth, the German lacks in goal contributions and has only kept clean sheets sporadically, like Alonso. You may find cheaper option around.

In: Jeffrey Schlupp (Crystal Palace) – 4.4m

A lovely rarity, Schlupp is a defender in FPL be is actually playing as a winger. Wilfried Zaha missed the last game with a suspension resulting in a start and a goal for the Ghanaian and Roy Hodgson might be tempted to use him again from the start as Zaha sits out one more match. If not, hes still got four goals this season and may pop up again, giving him potential as your cheap defender.

Out: Lucas Moura (Tottenham Hotspur) – 6.8m

After an excellent start to the season, the Brazilian has faded in recent months while also suffering from a new problem. Hes out of form even without Harry Kane blocking his path to the first XI.

In: Diogo Jota (Wolves) – 6.0m

The Portuguese now has three goals and two assists in his last three and, even if a knock rules him out against Newcastle, an easier run of fixtures make him a tempting pick up.
