The move has not gone down well with a lot of Irish fans, while former Wales international Dean Saunders has also criticised Rices decision and suggested the rules need to be changed.Former striker Cascarino is more understanding of the 20-year-olds decision, although he agrees with Saunders that the rules need addressing saying Rices move to England is a huge loss for the Irish team.Speaking on Thursdays Sports Breakfast, the talkSPORT pundit said: Were gutted. Weve lost a very good player. We need a player like Declan Rice with Ireland.The rules are the problem, because you can go and play for Republic of Ireland two or three times at certain levels and then you can go and bin them.But I think we have to understand where Declan is coming from as well. Hes been uncertain for quite a long time.

The fact England have so much potential to win things, its got to be an attraction for him.
